Thursday Network Provence had its first meeting of the season at the delightful Le Happy People cafe in L’Isle-sur-la-Sorgue to see what needs to happen to keep Network Provence functional.  Last year was a bit lacking in participation, despite many events and outings on offer.  Running Network Provence alone, while having an eventful personal life, Rebecca found it all too much and, at times, a little demoralising.  With this in mind, a meeting was called to see what could be done.  It was lovely that Network P women, newer and alumni members, showed up to answer the call and keep Network Provence going.

The group is an essential resource for so many women, for a multitude of reasons.  The main thing is connection. Whether it be business, promotion, advice, or social, many of us have created connections within this group that radiate outwards and have enriched our lives in Provence; it would be a shame to lose that.  Of course, as connections are made and life happens, we all get busier, so it’s understandable that it is not always easy to attend all meetings.
The social media channels that were once essential to ease of connection have also changed significantly in recent years, and there is a big gap in algorithmic reach.  Still, the Facebook page continues to gain new members daily, and the numbers indicate that many of you are visiting it.  There is also a WhatsApp group, as well as Instagram and YouTube. So why all the lurking?  What is everyone up to?
We think that with renewed vitality on the Network Provence website and in social media posts, some of you might like to get involved again and reconnect.  We certainly hope this to be true.
Back to our resurrection meeting: a lot of great ideas were shared and noted.  There was great storytelling about why Network Provence is important and still very relevant.  There were suggestions on how a core group of people could help share the workload as well.
In the future, we are looking at more regularised meet-ups, more outings, more activities, and a more dynamic presentation format.
Would you like to get in front of the group to share what you do? Get in touch!
Would you like to host a meeting at your place? Let us know.
Do you have an idea of what you would enjoy sharing? Even if you’re not hosting, we’d love to hear it.
Do you know women new to the area or the group who would benefit from the company of multi-generational, multi-nationality women who have all chosen to make their lives in Provence? Bring them along!
We hope that you will tune back in, answer questions, participate in posts, and share your own talents.  It may have been quiet lately, but there are a whole lot of eyes on what goes up on Network Provence, so it would be a waste not to get your own information in front of them.
For now, membership is free to all, with charges only during meetings and events to cover costs.  The core group has voted unanimously to keep Network Provence women-only. Soon, a schedule will be announced to make planning to join events easier.
If you have any comments, questions, or suggestions, we would really like to hear them.  You can use the contact form below or email rebecca.ronane@me.com
Looking forward to reconnecting soon!
